Penleigh and Essendon Grammar School

The wider PEGS community

The school in itself is made up of a group of smaller communities, the school sections. The pastoral care teams in each section work to create an environment welcoming to all students. Links between students and the local community are forged through community service activities.

Opportunities are provided for members of the wider school community to participate in, and maintain links with, the activities of the school.

Parents are encouraged to join the Friends of PEGS and to participate in its activities. The association serves the dual purposes of supporting the students through fund raising and providing a means by which parents can meet staff and other parents in informal situations.

Former students maintain their links with the school through involvement with various affiliated, sporting bodies and the Former Students' Association. A programme of regular school reunions occurs each year along with other social occasions.
