Boys’ First Hockey celebrated their season on Wednesday, 13 August 2008 at the Social Club. Fifty-three guests, including players, families and past players enjoyed an evening of fine food, presentations and speeches. Bennett Salvin accepted the Captain’s Trophy as well as the unique award for AGSV versus APS Winning Goal.  Ged Grimwade, Tom Carmody and Sam Hiscox all received awards for their contributions to the team. A highlight of the evening was the farewell to Bob McLennan as Coach. He told of his life experience of hockey and gave invaluable advice to the boys. There were several presentations acknowledging his contributions to PEGS hockey, including the establishment of the Bob McLennan Award for Best and Fairest Player.
