The girls from Years Prep to Two celebrated the Beijing Olympics with a mini olympics of their own. The girls from Year 6 commenced the games with the song, ‘We are Australians’ and the national Anthem, and a replica of the Olympic torch was carried to the assembly ground from the Prep classroom by Year 6 girls and their prep buddies. Whilst life-size models of the Olympic mascots looked on, the girls participated in a range of sporting activities and were cheered on enthusiastically by their parents.
