At the end of Term Two and start of Term Three, Year Ten Science Elective students worked in small groups of between two and four people to design and build Mars rover robots using Lego MINDSTORMS kits. These roving robots were then programmed to explore and collect data and/or samples on a simulated Martian terrain. On Wednesday July 30, 'Robonight', the Year Ten Science Elective students demonstrated their rovers and the programming, and presented their research on their simulated terrain to an appreciative audience of family, friends and staff at the Moonee Ponds Campus.
