Music
Music plays an important part in the life of the school. The aim of the music programme is to enrich students' lives through an understanding and appreciation of music and active participation in its performance.
All students from Kindergarten to Year Eight receive specialist music tuition as part of the general curriculum.
The music programme exists simultaneously on three different levels - as an integral part of the classroom curriculum, through the offer of private music tuition and in extracurricular activities as part of one of the many different ensembles including Stage Band, Guitar Ensembles, Concert Band and Chinese Orchestra. Many opportunities for performance arise throughout the year during the school's annual series of major concerts, church services, VCE music performance concerts, assemblies and the annual Speech night and Carol Service.
Drama and dance
PEGS' drama programme includes classroom drama and dance movement activities at the primary level and theatre arts and dance as extra-curricular activities at the the secondary level. All Junior School classes include a drama and dance component.
