RULES FOR WEARING THE SCHOOL UNIFORM

When to wear the Formal Uniform

• The formal uniform must be worn during Terms 2 and 3.  Students may wear the formal uniform in Terms 1 and 4 also.
• The formal uniform must be worn at all major school events.  These include Presentation Night and Church services.  Other special events to which the formal uniform must be worn may be nominated throughout the school year.
• Students participating in concerts and other musical events must wear a vest and should remove the blazer.

When to wear the Summer Uniform

• Students may choose to wear items from the summer uniform list or they may choose to wear the formal uniform in Terms 1 and 4.

General appearance

• Students need to be neat and tidy at all times.  Uniforms need to be clean and in good repair.  They must be of an appropriate size for the student.  Shoes need to be well polished. 
• Long sleeve shirts are to be tucked in. Boys need to button the top button of their formal shirts and wear their ties properly.
• Neither the jumper nor the vest may be worn as outer garments when exiting or entering the school, or while off school premises.
• The bottom edge of a shirt should not be visible when wearing a blazer, jumper or vest.
• Skirts and dresses need to be knee length.
• No jewellery other than watches for Junior students. A watch and a single plain gold or silver stud per ear lobe only are allowed for students in the secondary school.
• Hairstyles should generally be short and simple. For students in the Junior or Middle Schools, hair that is long enough to touch the collar must be tied back with a ribbon, headband or hair-tie.  Hair must not be extreme in style or colour and must be clean and neatly combed.  Coloured hair slides are not permitted.
• Students may not wear make-up or coloured nail polish.  No visible body piercing or tattoos are allowed for any student.
• All items of clothing should be clearly and securely named with nametags and shoes should be labelled.
