PEGS Football Club

PEGS Football Club (formerly Old Essendon Grammarians) was formed in 1968 and has played in the Victorian Amateur Football League since 1984. Currently playing in Division One, the club fields three senior teams and one in the Under 19 competition. More than 80 per cent of players are former or current students of the school.

PEGS Junior Football Club was established in 2012 and fields four junior teams in the Western Region Football League.

PEGS Football Club plays its home games at the school’s Keilor Park Sports grounds.

PEGS Cricket Club

PEGS Cricket Club (formerly Old Essendon Grammarians Cricket Club) was formed in 1966 and welcomes all new players and families. The club currently has four senior teams playing on turf in the Victorian Turf Cricket Association (VTCA), and six junior teams playing in the North West Metropolitan Cricket Association (NWMCA) at under 10, under 12 and under 14 levels.

Our First XI has a proud history of success, competing at the top level of the VTCA for many years and continuing to offer high quality, competitive cricket. Our recently introduced junior programme has grown quickly in popularity with a focus on enjoyment and skills development within a family friendly environment.

PEGS Hockey Club

The PEGS Hockey Club is an inclusive, family orientated club with a proud competitive history in the Hockey Victoria competition. Although the club is associated with Penleigh and Essendon Grammar School, it welcomes all players.

PEGS Tennis Club

Since 1978, the PEGS Tennis Club has given former students a chance to continue playing competitive tennis in the North Suburban Night Tennis Association.

PEGS Soccer Club

The PEGS Soccer Club has more than 100 registered players. Six teams compete in the Victorian Soccer League, with the Men’s and Women’s 1st XIs both in the Premier Division. The club prides itself on its inclusivity and aims to foster respect, accountability and enjoyment. Several of the club’s players assist with the coaching of the school’s teams.
