PEGS Charter Bus Services
A number of charter buses operate throughout the school year. Bookings for charter bus services are made through Try Booking, and open at the beginning of Term 4 each year for the following school year. See details below.
The PEGS charter bus system utilises RollCall software, which requires students to tap on and off using their PEGS student ID card. Parent or caregiver consent is required for the school to share your child’s name, student ID number, year level, bus route, and bus stop with our RollCall software supplier.
This consent is a condition of booking and using the school’s charter buses. For more information about the RollCall software privacy policy, please visit the company website at www.rollcall.com.au. This practice aligns with the school’s Privacy Policy.
Read the Charter Bus Service Terms and Conditions here.Â
PEGS Student ID cards are required for travel:
- Existing students making a booking for the new school year will keep their current PEGS student ID card to use for charter bus travel in throughout the year.
- New students with a charter bus booking will receive their PEGS student ID card on the first day of the school year during form/tutor group.
- Parents of students new to PEGS will need to email a ‘head shot’ of their child to BusCoordinator@pegs.vic.edu.au before a PEGS student ID card can be issued for bus travel.
- It is not permissable for Prep students to use the bus services.
- Junior School students in Years 1-3 may catch a bus only if accompanied by an elder sibling.
- Each charter bus is fitted with seat belts and we ask for your support in discussing with your child/ ren the importance and adherence to the wearing of seatbelts when travelling on the school charter bus services.
- Charter services incur an annual fee and are offered to families on a yearly basis to transport their child(ren) to and from school. Bookings are required for all charter bus services.
- Bookings sell out quickly so it is advisable to book as soon as possible if this is your preferred travel option for your child.
- Once booked on a service, students cannot transfer or move between services without a written request to the BusCoordinator@pegs.vic.edu.au

Roll Call Monitoring
The RollCall bus tracking software program creates a safer, more secure way for student travel.
Using the latest in smart card technology, RollCall provides parents with real-time information about the students in-transit and arrival for daily travel.
How it works
- Each student will use their PEGS Student ID card.
- Morning Travel: Students must Tap ON at the RollCall device located at the bus entry. A beep will confirm registration. Students do not need to Tap Off at school in the morning—the driver will complete this in bulk.
- Afternoon Travel: Students must Tap ON when boarding the bus and Tap OFF when exiting at their stop.
What parents need to do
- At the start of the school year parents will receive a welcome email with instructions on how to download and set up the RollCall Parent App.
- Please ensure your child has their PEGS Student ID card easily accessible
