Are you a collaborative senior leader with a passion for excellence in education? We have an exciting opportunity to join PEGS as Director of Operations and Engagement, working closely with the Principal and Deputy Principal to support the effective operation and continued development of the School.
Commencing in January 2027, this senior leadership role, you will provide strategic and practical leadership across key operational, administrative, communication and engagement functions. You will strengthen systems, support innovation, foster meaningful connections across the School community and ensure operational priorities are aligned with the School’s strategic plan.
Leading a committed and professional team, you will mentor and develop others, promote a positive and inclusive work environment, and work collaboratively with the wider leadership team to identify opportunities for improvement.
The successful candidate will bring senior leadership capability, sound judgement, organisational strength and strong relationship skills, with the ability to operate effectively in a large school.
Teaching qualifications and VIT registration would be an advantage. We welcome applications from suitably experienced teaching and non-teaching professionals who can demonstrate strong senior leadership capability in an education, community, not-for-profit or similarly complex environment.

Penleigh and Essendon Grammar School (PEGS) has just under 3,000 students from Kindergarten to Year 12 across campuses in Moonee Ponds, Essendon and Keilor East.
