Secondary Teacher of Latin

The Role

Expressions of interest are invited from engaging and passionate secondary teachers of Latin who are outstanding classroom teachers; knowledgeable in the curriculum area and in current pedagogical thinking; and committed to student wellbeing.

Teachers at Penleigh and Essendon Grammar School are collaborative, creative, ethical, persistent, strategic, reflective, and show a genuine commitment to the School's culture of thinking.

We have a part-time (0.6) ongoing position available commencing January 2027 teaching Latin classes at the Middle School and at Senior School (Larkin Centre) Years 9 and 11 in 2027. For applicants who are interested in full-time, this may also be available, subject to other teaching methods.

VIT registration, a current criminal record check and eligibility to work in Australia are required for this role.

Penleigh and Essendon Grammar School (PEGS) has approximately 3,000 students from Kindergarten to Year 12 across campuses in Moonee Ponds, Essendon and Keilor East.
