    Are you an experienced technology leader who can combine strategic vision with operational excellence?

    Penleigh and Essendon Grammar School (PEGS) is seeking an accomplished Director of ICT to provide strategic and operational leadership across the School’s technology environment.

    Commencing in January 2027, this senior leadership role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of ICT within a large, multi-campus school and support informed, secure and sustainable technology decisions.

    Reporting to the Director of Business and Finance, you will lead the governance, security, reliability and continuous improvement of the School’s ICT infrastructure, enterprise systems, digital platforms, data management and service delivery, ensuring staff, students and families are supported by secure, reliable and fit-for-purpose technology solutions.

    As a key member of the School’s leadership team, you will develop and deliver an ICT strategy and technology roadmap, ensuring technology investments align with the School’s strategic priorities. You will provide trusted advice to senior leaders on cybersecurity, privacy, technology risk, digital transformation, investment, and emerging technologies.

    The Successful Candidate

    You will bring:

    • Demonstrated senior ICT leadership experience leading ICT functions, teams and technology projects
    • Relevant tertiary qualifications and industry certifications
    • Strong strategic planning, governance and risk management capabilities
    • Experience overseeing cybersecurity, privacy and business continuity frameworks
    • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into practical outcomes for technical and non-technical audiences
    • A collaborative leadership style and the ability to influence and build strong relationships across diverse stakeholder groups
    • Capacity to evaluate technology opportunities and risks from operational, security, privacy, child safety, financial, and implementation perspectives and to advise educational leaders on technology feasibility and risk while respecting the distinction between technical leadership and pedagogical decision-making
    • Sound commercial and financial acumen
    • A commitment to innovation, service excellence and continuous improvement
    • A commitment to child safety and the values of the School

    Experience within an education environment will be advantageous; however, we welcome applications from accomplished ICT leaders with experience working in complex, regulated environments in other sectors.
