Outside School Hours Care Coordinator

  • Part time ongoing position commencing 25 January 2027
  • Monday to Friday, with flexible admin hours and paid school holidays

Lead an engaging Before and After School Care Program where children feel safe, supported and inspired. 

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Outside School Hours Care Coordinator to lead our program for Prep to Year 6 students at the Junior School (girls).

This is a rewarding, hands-on role offering 17.5 onsite hours each week from 2:30 pm to 6:00 pm, Monday to Friday during school terms, plus 10.5 paid administration hours that may be worked flexibly and remotely and you will be paid for the school holidays.

You will also oversee before school care and provide onsite support when required.

This ongoing position commences 25 January 2027.

The Role

Reporting to the Head of Junior School (girls), duties include:

  • Developing and leading an engaging and safe programme of indoor and outdoor activities that support the School's Culture of Thinking and Care and Wellbeing
  • Leading and overseeing day to day programme development, implementation and evaluation of a high quality service with a strong focus on child saftey.
  • Programme administration, including rostering and liaising with Accounts
  • Leading and developing a team of staff in the day to day running of the  programme and acting as a role model in the programme 
  • Performing the role of Nominated Supervisor, ensuring the program meets the NQS and relevant frameworks and the diverse needs of all children.

About you

You are an experienced and passionate educator committed to creating a safe,  welcoming, inclusive and enriching environment for children. You bring a strong understanding of relevant legislation and regulations, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to lead, motivate and develop staff. With demonstrated experience in quality program planning and improvement, you will build positive relationships with children, parents, carers, colleagues and the wider school community.

You will hold a relevant qualification, such as a Diploma in Children’s Services or Bachelor of Education, together with current first aid qualifications and a valid Working With Children Check. You must also be eligible to work in Australia.
